Strength & Conditioning

Our philosophy at Human Performance Group is to give you an optimized, functional toolbox for you to live and perform at your very best.

We focus on three primary principles:

  • PAP (Prime and Potentiate)
  • Force Manipulation (Absorb, Maintain, Produce) 
  • Multi-directional Stability/Control

Which is why our strength & conditioning system is focused on giving specific movement pattern training, while working synergistically with your jiu-jitsu training schedule.

Recovery

Just as hard as you train, we also focus on recovery just as hard. Each training session is an opportunity for your body to adapt, but only proper recovery can enable that change. 

At Human Performance Group, our coaches are certified in the EXOS Model of Recovery which is a system that’s heavily used within Olympic and Professional Sports. All to ensure you’re spending more time on the mats, and less time injured. 

Our Coaching and Programs Focus on these specific areas that are specified to jiu jitsu:

  • Postural Control and Core Stabilization

Nutrition

Just like a race car, you need to fuel and build yourself in the right ways to extract the most out of your body and perform at your best.

Our nutritional programs and coaching not only guide you, they teach you all the necessary skills and metrics to better coach yourself, and make your progress last a lifetime. 

Our nutritional services include:

Similarly to how the culture of Jiu-Jitsu is, our coaching program is for ANYBODY who wants the opportunity to grow and learn in an environment with world class training, but not EVERYBODY has what it takes to complete it. We strongly believe that the key to success is the relationships we have between coach and athlete. Which is why we vet our potential team members through our application process to ensure that the program will be the right fit to ensure you achieve the results you want.

There’s no sugar coating it, it’s challenging. The program is designed to transform you to perform at your very best. It’s been tested and designed with the same training philosophy and science used by the world’s best athletes from Olympic and professional sports teams, all translated for the demands of Jiu Jitsu. We all have our different goals in the sport, but if you’re wanting to perform at your maximum potential, then this program is for you.

Of course having access to a gym is ideal, but we’ve also worked with athletes who have a couple bands and some free weights that have also achieved results. Our philosophy is based on intentional movement patterns specific to the goals you’re needing to achieve. Meaning, results aren’t necessarily tied to a single specific exercise, but the framework of the program is. Whether you use a kettlebell, barbell, dumbbell, or the rock in your backyard, we’ll find a way to get you the results you need.
